This post has been updated because of an error in judgment that I made when it was originally written. I sincerely apologize to the staff of The Sun for my hurtful comments. The people there are working journalists and talented writers. They deserve the same respect, the same benefit of the doubt, that I would show to any other fellow professional. All I can say is that I will learn from this mistake and choose my words more carefully in the future.
Here's a link to the original article in The Sun. While I still haven't had my query to Jackson's management responded to, it looks as though the original story was indeed correct.
When the story ran in The Sun originally, I reached out to Jackson's publicist who checked with the fighter's manager, as Jackson himself is currently on hiatus. The response? "His manager said it wasn't true." All that said, Jackson would make a pretty kickass Baracus. He's already got the chain-wearing shtick down, though he'd have to trade up from steel chain links to gold (or at least gold-plated).
