If you saw "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" this past weekend, then you already know that classic Cobra villain Dr. Mindbender was transformed from a maniacal madman into a mumbling scientist. And, like me, you probably thought "Okay, fine. Maybe the bald, shirtless, cloaked, monocle-and-purple-pants-wearing villain doesn't strike the same chord in a live action setting as he did in an '80s cartoon." If you thought that then, also like me, you'd be wrong.
Comedy website Funny Or Die has a higher opinion of Mindbender than the "Rise of Cobra" team did. The site is launching its own "G.I. Joe" parody today, with a star-studded cast that includes appearances from Olivia Wilde, Chuck Lidell and Tony Hale. Today's Daily TwitPic from @funnyordie delivers Hale as Mindbender, looking far different than he did as "Arrested Development" star Buster Bluth. Menacing? No. Hilarious? Maybe... I won't cast judgment until I see the purple pants.
