Quidditch: bringer of glory, destroyer of friendships. The dangerous wizarding sport created by J.K. Rowling for the “Harry Potter” universe pits two teams armed with broomsticks against one another as they try to wrangle a ball through a trio of hoops for points. A very cool thing to see in a movie thanks to the magic of digital effects, but difficult to pull off as a real-world sport. Or is it…?
The Muggles in the video below have comes to terms with their magical disabilities. I’m not going to spoil the fun, but watch this little tease to see how the lack of flying broomsticks, Bludgers and a Quaffle are accounted for. “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” hits theaters on July 15.
