In Line At Midnight For 'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen'

Transformers: Revenge of the FallenSo! Michael Bay's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" swooped into theaters last night. The stats from Fandango tell some pretty crazy stories. For example, the current rate of ticket sales for the movie is averaging out to eight every second. This led to more than 2,000 sold out midnight screenings last night, which means that a staggering 94% of the ticket outlet's sales are for the giant robot blockbuster.

Who cares about numbers though? Wouldn't you rather hear a report straight from the war zone? Sandra Segura, one of our intrepid interns, braved the crowds last night to join in on the "Transformers" party. Check out her thoughts along with some pictures of the crazy after the jump.

MTV News Intern, and die hard “Transformers” fan, goes to the first showing and brings home a piece of the action!

OH EM GEE!! First of all, before even setting foot into the theater on 42nd St in Manhattan, we all had to wait on a line that wrapped around the corner, down 8th avenue and onto the next block… and that was the line for people who had tickets! Clearly, I was not the only person there with a purpose. I must say, whoever said that “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” wasn't that good needs a lesson in having fun!

From the moment the movie started, people in the audience were howling and screaming and clapping and jumping out of their seats! It was insane-- I don’t even know what to say to express to the world how off the hook this movie was. Even my cousin who doesn't speak English was whistling loudly in the audience! Many times it was because Megan Fox was on the screen but so what? I had Shia LaBeouf and Tyrese Gibson to whistle at myself.

I mean, imagine tear jerkers mixed with comedy, great looking celebrities and orthodox Michael Bay “Transformers” action scenes all in one movie. This movie was FIERCE in every sense of the word! Yea, it had its cheesy moments where I rolled my eyes a couple of times but those moments were quickly saved by some Decepticon or Autobot transforming and whooping another robots’ glutes. It’s like the fierceness was on-going and never stopped. And, as a die hard “Transformers” fan who grew up on the toy, you KNOW I was at the first showing at 12:01 AM. I did not miss a beat! People were super hyped and left extremely satisfied. And to think: this is a sequel!

WOOOOOO!!! (That's what I sounded like in the theatre, haha!)

When I say the DVD/Blu-ray needs to be released soon so people like me can buy it, I mean it needs to be ready for release like yesterday.

Basically, my words of advice are this: GO SEE IT! If you’re a Michael Bay fan, a “Transformers” Fan, or heck, even just an action adventure fan, you will NOT leave unsatisfied. Trust me.
