This morning I scared the crap out of you readers with a first look at Johnny Depp made up as The Mad Hatter in a promo shot for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." You burn it into your retinas for future sleepless nights right here:

Yes, it's terrifying. As any proper Tim Burton adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland" should be. Of course, Burton has quite a lengthy history with Depp. Not counting "Alice," the duo have made six films together. It's been a fascinating evolution for Depp from character to character, as you'll see in the gallery after the jump.
