Playing the most vicious man in "Watchmen" just might have influenced Jeffrey Dean Morgan's dark side. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan has signed on to star opposite Hilary Swank in "The Resident."
As we reported earlier, Swank will play a young doctor who finds the perfect loft apartment, but begins to feel a little creeped out in her new home. It turns out she's not alone, and that her handsome and charming landlord is spying on her. He's become obsessed with her, and begins stalking her in a dangerous cat-and-mouse game which can only end badly.
To add to the creep factor, Morgan was Swank's love interest in "P.S. I Love You." Obviously, they got along really well, but decided that a romantic comedy just didn't cut it for the fear factor. Yikes.
The film will be the debut of Finnish director Antti J. Jokinen, who started out as a music video director for Beyonce, Will Smith, and Shania Twain. He also cowrote the film with Robert Orr, and brought in Erin Cressida Wilson to do a rewrite. The film is set to begin shooting in May.
MTV readers, can The Comedian get you to see this thriller? Or do you wish Jeffrey Dean Morgan would ditch the scary stuff and be an actual comedian in a film?
