Whose Ass-Kicking Kicked The Most Ass? The Experts Weigh In

There are no stunt doubles in the world of mixed martial arts. No CGI, no second takes and no flattering edits either. It’s the real deal.

So who better to weigh in on the fine art of throwing down  and give us some predictions for Best Fight at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards? That’s what led us to Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver. They won’t be on the red carpet on Sunday. They won’t even be watching at home. In fact, when the awards are handed out on Sunday night, these guys will be in Sacramento waging their own battle for the World Extreme Cagefighting Featherweight Championship. But these guys love a good movie fight as much as the rest of us. From Matt Damon’s gritty, bare-knuckled Bourne brawling to Tobey Maguire and James Franco’s soaring, city-top tangle in Spider-Man 3, they’ve seen them all.

But what makes these guys experts?

Well, Urijah’s the reigning WEC Featherweight Champ, running his record to 20-1 with a string of jaw-dropping, dominant wins (7 KOs, 10 submissions and at least once instance where he slammed a guy on his head). He’s consistently ranked among the top five fighters, pound-for-pound, in the world. Sure, he comes off like a chilled-out surfer, but he’s a buzzsaw in the cage.

Jens, meanwhile, is a living mixed martial arts legend. “Little Evil” has been an amateur wrestling champ, went undefeated in four pro boxing matches and boasts an MMA record of 22-8-1. He was the first man to hold the UFC Lightweight Championship and has jumpstarted his career in the WEC (where he submitted his last opponent in all of 35 seconds).

So what do the guys who do it for real think about Hollywood stars going toe-to-toe? And who do they think will take home Best Fight on Sunday? Check out the clip above for their thoughts (and a look at Urijah and Jens at work).

The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News’ “Coming Attractions” preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET! Meanwhile, stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog and MovieAwards.MTV.com.
