It's every actresses' dream: Here you are, under the warm lights, wearing a fabulous designer costume, a production assistant is bringing you your piping-hot latte. Then, when the director yells "Action!" you stare straight into Brad Pitt's beautiful blue eyes...and hand him his lunchbox?
"He calls me 'Mama,'" sighed co-star Taraji P. Henson when we caught up with the actress at Sunday's SAG Awards, revealing her matronly role to the heartthrob in David Fincher's 2008 flick "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
"That's not what I envisioned. I knew I was going to star opposite Brad Pitt one day, but I thought it was going to be something sexy and hot," the "Smokin' Aces" actress laughed.
Every girl's fantasy wasn't too far fetched for her, either, considering she is actually younger than Mr. Jolie, but she had to succumb to the plot of the film.
"He's aging backwards," Henson said of the plot, which begins in the early 20th century, following a 50-year-old man whose rapid-regression toward youth creates complications with the 30-year-old woman he's fallen in love with, played by Cate Blanchett. "[His mom] is going forward. I age from 26 to 71; it's going to be really exciting to see me as an old lady on the big screen."
While Henson may not be getting the scenes she originally wanted with her co-star, the best she could experience were a few moments in the film that may have a "Chinatown" feel to them.
"When Brad Pitt comes back from the war and I haven't seen him in years, I get to wrap my arms around him," she grinned, playfully. "When you haven't seen your baby in 10 years and here he comes through the door? It's a very powerful moment."
Naturally, we're all amped to watch Tyler Durden reunite with the man who made "Fight Club." But would you rather see the sexy Taraji Henson tucking Brad into bed, or hopping in alongside him? While the movie will most likely be rated PG-13, feel free to discuss Henson's NC-17 fantasies below!
