Like all of you, I love music and movies. And like so many of you, I've lost a loved one to cancer.
Which is why I wanted to take a moment from our usual merrymaking to point you guys towards the "Qeetastrophe" auction being masterminded by our friends over at DreadCentral.com. It's a very cool idea, and benefits a great cause.
What would you give for an autograph from Tom Savini? Eli Roth? Danny Trejo? How about if you also scored signatures from such genre icons as Tony Todd, Warwick Davis, P.J. Soles and Tobin Bell? And what if the one and only Paris Hilton was on there too?
When I was in Vancouver recently visiting the set of "Repo," the DreadCentral guys were passing around a funky-looking, 16-inch bear and securing their final batch of autographs. All the signatures are 100 percent legit: I watched Paris and Paul Sorvino get a big kick out of the doll.
On a separate rabbit doll, they landed some big musical acts: Good Charlotte, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion, etc.
Both glow-in-the-dark, one-of-a-kind dolls are being auctioned off this weekend on eBay, and you can get all the info you need right here. All proceeds benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, which has a proud, wonderful history of helping kids with cancer.
If you're a movie or music fan, and looking to start out the New Year by helping someone less fortunate, it's the perfect opportunity.
