After nineteen seasons and five World Series wins, New York Yankee Derek Jeter will finally call it a day on his baseball career and hang up his pinstriped uniform at the end of this year. It's bound to be a shock to his system, so before the Brooklyn Bomber retires for good, Chris Distefano of MTV2's "Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave" sought out some expert tips for the pro on how to stay busy when you've got a lot of time on your hands.
In this video clip from the show's premiere, Chris asks senior citizens to share how they choose to spend their days at the retirement home. "I love bingo!" one woman says. "He should come and join the centers." (Whaddya say, D? Considering the stats on gambling addiction among former pro-athletes, bingo may just be your safest bet.) However, someone else suggests the legendary shortstop will be best served by staying fit. "You got to keep doing exercise," the man tells Chris. Sound advice, especially if Jeter wants to maintain an active dating life.
