Samuel L. Jackson's 'Boy Meets World' Slam Poem Deserves Several Finger Snaps!

Samuel L. Jackson; Danielle Fishel, Ben Savage and Rider Strong of "Boy Meets World."

From Justin Timberlake rapping to Paul Rudd lip-syncing, Jimmy Fallon has an uncanny way of getting his guests to step outside the box on "The Tonight Show." Last night, Samuel L. Jackson was the latest star to demonstrate a new talent with a poetic interpretation of "Boy Meets World" that could give Maya Angelou a run for her money. Who knew Nick Fury was a fan of '90s nostalgia?

In this clip of his performance, Jackson walks up to a spot-lit mic and exhales a large breath of smoke to set the mood. "Boy meets world/boy greets world," he begins. Without missing a beat, the actor summarizes the biggest moments of the series in under four minutes. It's some damn fine artistry, but this line about Cory and Topanga's storybook romance is pure magic: "For he tries to mock her/'til shocker/a reluctant kiss by his locker." We. Have. Chills. Snaps all around!

Grab a cup of Joe, put on a beret and give a listen to the slammin' poetic stylings of Sammy J:
