Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton and "Off the Bat" host Melanie Iglesias.
The first season of MTV2's "Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave" is kicking off with a BANG, thanks to pro-baseball player Giancarlo Stanton. In this sneak peek of the series premiere, the Miami Marlins outfielder, who host Melanie Iglesias describes as being best-known for "breaking stuff," proves why he's earned such a reputation in the big leagues.
In the clip, Melanie takes Giancarlo to a junkyard for batting practice, and after punishing a few old automobiles, Stanton requests that Mel step up to the plate. "Do you want to finish it off or what?" he asks, referring to a semi-smashed car window. "I'm going to pretend it's my ex," the "Guy Code" beauty responds. Sounds like a decent strategy.
"Ughhhh!" Mel grunts as she adds to the destruction. When it comes to connecting with an actual ball, however, the petite brunette shows less promise, swinging and missing on her first try, even with the help of her custom pink bat. Cheer up, Mel, you've got a whole season ahead to work on your form!
Check out the clip, and watch the premiere of "Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave" Tuesday, April 1 at 11/10c on MTV2.
