Fallen heroes Allison and Aiden aren't the only Beacon Hills High School students who will be missed when "Teen Wolf" returns for Season 4 -- you won't be seeing Allison's boyfriend, Isaac Lahey, either. Daniel Sharman, the actor behind Isaac, has decided to leave the show, Executive Producer Jeff Davis revealed via E! News yesterday, though he assured fans that if Sharman ever has a change of heart, reviving the part is certainly a possibility.
"[Daniel] said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance," Davis shared, adding that the Brit plans to use his time away from set to pursue new projects. "He was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can't convince you to come back, we'll definitely leave the door open for you.'"
Phew. At least we don't have to build another memorial site.
So how will Isaac's absence be explained? According to Davis, both he and Chris Argent will start off Season 4 on sabbatical in France, where they'll be grieving Allison's death. JR Bourne's character will eventually return home, while Isaac will not. Perhaps he'll embark on a backpacking adventure through Europe with ol' Jackson?
We're somewhat comforted by the fact that Isaac may not be gone for good, but it's really bumming us out that he and his scarves will be at least temporarily out of commission. It's difficult to find the words, but these Sad Stiles GIFs adequately describe what it's doing to us:
Side note: That Dylan O'Brien can really emote, huh?
