Game On! Get A First Look At MTV2's 'Off The Bat' Before Its April 1 Premiere

March Madness may have just begun, but MTV2's got some major news for sports fans who prefer a home run over a slam dunk. This morning, the network announced that its new series, "Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave," will premiere April 1 at 11/10c -- just in time for Opening Day weekend! And that ain't no Fools' joke, y'all.

In the sizzle below, executive producer/Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz and "OTB" host/rap icon Fat Joe shake hands for "the only show where pop culture and major league baseball collide." We're diggin' the sportsmanship already, fellas! Joe's co-hosts, Chris Distefano, Sway and Melanie Iglesias, also seem game for anything -- especially sweet Mel, who gets a litttttle too close to a fastball. "Oh my god!" she shouts as pro Giancarlo Stanton swings away.

For once, April Fools' Day couldn't come quickly enough. However, every baseball fan knows that no sports event can start without a proper tailgate. The entire "Off the Bat" team is bringing you the biggest pre-game ever with an Opening Day Block Party of epic proportions on Sunday, March 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in New York City (4th St. between Broadway and Lafayette St).
