Kristin Cavallari And Fellow MTV Alum Kennedy Talk Family, Fashion And Pot [Video]

What happens when a former MTV VJ and a shoe designer with Laguna Beach roots collide? Magic! Kennedy, who last appeared on the network in 1997, sat down with Kristin Cavallari on FOX Business News' "The Independents" yesterday to interview the "Hills" alum on everything from her second pregnancy to the legalization of pot in the United States (for the record, Kristin's not a user, but quips that it could help the economy), and though the ladies' experiences on MTV were years apart, they struck up quite a rapport on the current events show.

"You're such a radiant pregnant woman," Kennedy said at the get-go in a nearly sisterly tone. In addition to discussing Cam's soon-to-be little bro, the two chatted it up about Kristin's co-hosting duties on E!'s "The Fabulist," a role she felt was tailor-made for her. "To be away from my family -- we're in Chicago -- it had to be something I was excited about and loved," she said of shooting the fashion and lifestyle series in New York.

And, as for her marriage to pro-football player Jay Cutler, Kennedy proposed a curious question while she and her guest sorted through contemporary same-sex marriage views: Would Kristin have said "I do" if he were a...woman? Though Kristin is in favor of marriage rights for the gay community, she laughed at the idea, saying she's satisfied with her guy's natural-born gender. "I like that he's this macho, masculine man."
