When the “Real World: Ex-Plosion” cast members were kids (or, in Jenna’s case, an infant), seven twentysomething strangers moved into a house on San Francisco’s famous Lombard Street, and filmed one of the most memorable seasons in the series’ history. On Wednesday night’s episode, 20 years later, the show’s 29th cast paid a quick visit to the pad that hosted the likes of Judd Winick, David “Puck” Rainey and Pedro Zamora, and in this clip from the ep, two decades careen by in the blink of an eye.
While exploring the city’s streets, parks and coastlines, the group of six strangers (and four of their exes) stumble upon the nation’s windiest road, and as soon as Thomas spots the old place — which looks nearly the same as it did in 1994 — the group marvels at the piece of history. “What if Puck was there, and came out and was like ’rahhh!'” Jamie says as she peers up at the building’s white facade. Taking a picture on the staircase proves to be a divisive experience between the cast’s “OGs” and newbies, but at least for a fleeting moment there’s some solidarity.
