“Real World: Ex-Plosion” is right around the corner, but you don’t have to wait until January 8 to get to know the San Francisco housemates. In an act of unprecedented kindness, the show’s producers took pity on this season’s cast and allowed them to hang onto their smartphones throughout filming, even encouraging them to shoot video of their exploits. We’ve got some of the exclusive footage to share with you before premiere day — check out our latest “Ex-Cam” clip below!
As we've learned across 28 seasons of "Real World," looks can be deceiving, and if this "Ex Cam" clip is any indication, the new "Ex-Plosion" cast will prove they're no exception to the sentiment. At first glance it seems that Cory, a former football star from Los Angeles, is the strongest guy in the house, but when he enters into an arm-wrestling match with the thinner but fiercely competitive Thomas, an expected struggle ensues.
"I'm about to show you what real strength is," the confident Cory says as he readies himself for battle, and when the guys finally lock arms, it looks like it's anyone's game. Soon, though, Cory starts to fade, and when he's forced to lean on the counter for support, Thomas sees his opening and slams his opponent's hand down on the table for the W. "I'm oh-and-three, dammit!" Cory laments after accepting another defeat. Fourth time's a charm...?
A special thanks to Jamie for the documentation of this gripping underdog story! Check out the video, and make sure to tune in to the "Ex-Plosion" premiere January 8 at 10/9c.
