From A Meatball Drop To Diaper Duty, See How Snooki's NYE Celebrations Have Changed Over The Years

Snooki's NYE, then and now.

In 2011, a pint-sized, poufed-out spitfire clutching a red Solo cup descended upon Seaside Heights in a glittery sphere to signify the beginning of a new year. It was an outrageous celebration, and while Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is still causing a ruckus on MTV three years later, much has changed for the former "Jersey Shore" party girl. There is perhaps no better marker for the guidette's transformation from meatball to mama than how she's spent New Year's Eve through the years -- check out a timeline of Snooks' NYE whereabouts from 2011-2014 to see how she's matured since her pickle-chugging, drunk-cartwheeling days at the boardwalk.

2011: The Meatball-Drop

When "Jersey Shore" was in its prime, dropping the leader of the pack inside a hamster ball at midnight was a total no-brainer. And though you're way more likely these days to see a dumbbell in her hand than a cup of Ron Ron Juice, this moment in time will forever remain one of MTV's grandest.

2012: Clubbin' in Vegas

Though she wasn't a part of the official NYE festivities at MTV this year, Snooks remained true to her "Shore" self, and spent the night at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, partying 2011 away with her now-fiancé Jionni LaValle.

2013: Hosting Duties with BFF JWOWW

After giving birth to Lorenzo, this was Snooki's first New Year's Eve that was focused less on poppin' bottles and more on just having good ol' fashioned fun. In the pre-show video above, Snooks explained that hosting MTV's live NYE party with her bestie was going to be a blast, but unlike Jenni -- who said she was determined to find the "happy medium of not drunk, but drunk" -- her primary goal was to simply look good. "I'm still trying to get my body back," she shared. "So I want to make sure I have enough sparkle."

2014: At Home with Lorenzo!

Now that her son's grown into a walkin', talkin' ball of cuteness, we don't blame Nicole for choosing to forego all-night-long parties to ring in the New Year at home with a high chair table full of yummy treats, some goofy 2014 glasses and her little guy. In fact, Snooki looks happier now than she ever has! The only thing missing is a family rendition of "Auld Lang Syne." Sigh, maybe next year!
