'Jersey Shore' Cast Tweets Support For Seaside Heights After Fire Ravages The Boardwalk

Smoke plumes still pour out of the Seaside Heights boardwalk the morning after it was destroyed.

By rebuilding what the nasty Superstorm Sandy destroyed in 2012, Seaside Heights proved just how strong "Jersey Strong" can be. Sadly, the area is being tested again, as yesterday, a massive fire tore through the boardwalk that already endured so much last fall. A blaze that started in Kohr's Ice Cream parlor eventually spread to 19 buildings, according to The Star-Ledger, and though 6ABC.com reported this morning that the fire was finally under control, the damage was done, and some businesses, like the favorite "Jersey Shore" cast haunt, Beachcomber, were left charred and in ruins.

Once SnookiJWOWW and the former "Jersey Shore" housemates -- who consider Seaside their home away from home -- caught wind of the damage, they extended their sympathies on Twitter. "RIP seaside boardwalk. So many of our favorite places gone...my heart is with everyone affected. Xoxo Beachcomber," Snooki wrote, while DJ Pauly D tweeted "...it's heartbreaking to see my second home go through another devastation."
