You Win Some, You Lose Some: Cara Maria Finds 'Rivals' Redemption, Marlon's Swept Out To Sea

Much of "The Challenge"'s entertainment value is the drama that erupts off the field, but "Rivals II" includes some incredible competitors whose moves keep us on the edge of our seats, too. Each week, we're pointing out the highs and lows of every mission, so you can watch every triumph, and every COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE, on a loop forever and ever. You win some, you lose some...

If there's a lesson that can be learned from "Swingers," the most recent "Rivals II" mission, it's that half that cast needs some swimming lessons, and fast. Even some of the game's most feared competitors were no match for the pull of the sea's strong current, and a few were swept away into the deep blue. Still, for those who fell short, The Jungle would remain a venue for redemption. Take a look at some high and low points from last night's "Challenge" episode, below!

WIN SOME: Cara Maria might have gotten the wind knocked out of her by "Swingers," but at least she owned up to it, and once she and Cooke found themselves in The Jungle (...again...) she swore she'd make up for her error. And boy did she deliver. After watching her partner snap a fluorescent red stick over her opponent, she followed suit, and made the elimination round a quick and dirty win for Team Red.

LOSE SOME: Hey, vets -- you want to stop the rookies? Apparently, all you need to do is toss 'em into the ocean and watch them float away. Marlon and Jordan looked strong during the game's first half, but Marlon was ultimately no match for the current, and wound up nautical miles away from the game's halfway buoy and his irritated partner. We're not even sure he was still technically in Thailand.
