With “Rivals II” FINALLY PREMIERING TONIGHT, it’s only appropriate we’ve saved the most antagonistic team’s pre-season interview for last. Ladies and gentlemen: Zach and Trey. The two dominant dudes have been at each other’s throats since “Battle Of The Seasons” — during which Trey’s unwillingness to play along with powerhouse team San Diego cost him the game — and Zach says not much has changed since then…except, well, they’ve blocked each other on Twitter.
“He’s lower than a serpent,” Zach says. “He loves himself more than anyone else…if there was a fire on him, I wouldn’t piss on him to put it out.” Why don’t you tell us how you really feel? Zach acknowledges that Trey might appear to be a good athlete, but says his “show muscles” are basically useless. For Trey, though, any of the team’s potential friction will come from two Type-A personalities constantly butting heads.
“We both have big egos; we both carry an immense amount of pride,” Trey says. “We just can’t put down the Alpha Male syndrome.”
