'Most Dope' Rough Cuts: Mac Miller Gives His Producer Some Tough Love [Video]

Squeezing countless hours of Mac Miller footage into only six "Most Dope Family" episodes was a daunting task for MTV2, and as you'd expect, a lot of great moments didn't make the final cut. But don't worry -- they're not going to waste! While you await the series' return, check in with Remote Control each week for never-before-seen video of the rapper and his pals.

Following a powerful prayer circle that saw Peanut experiencing a spiritual awakening, the "Most Dope" boys thought they had all the positive momentum they needed to help DJ Clockwork bring his best work into the booth. But...they were sadly mistaken, and in this week's Rough Cut, a frustrated Mac Miller uses an unusual tactic to get a better performance out of his producer.

"Those bars are weak, bruh," Mac tells Clock, whose rhymes just aren't up to par. "Everyone [else came out] with the fire." Following Mac's lead, the rest of the crew chimes in with suggestions to help Clock bring his A-game. "Just freestyle some heartfelt s**t," Jimmy says. "Be yourself, yo. Damn!" Big Dave adds. But after he finally musters up the mojo to get behind the mic again, Clock's previously concerned pals leave him in the dust, presumably off to give another lost soul a pep talk. It's all for one and one for all in Mac Miller's world!
