'Most Dope' Rough Cuts: Mac Miller Seeks Good Beats From God [Video]

Squeezing countless hours of Mac Miller footage into only six "Most Dope Family" episodes was a daunting task for MTV2, and as you'd expect, a lot of great moments didn't make the final cut. But don't worry -- they're not going to waste! While you await the series' return, check in with Remote Control each week for never-before-seen video of the rapper and his pals.

Just because Mac Miller is a hip-hop high-roller doesn't mean he's strayed too far from his roots as a nice Jewish boy from Pennsylvania. No matter the money or fame he accumulates, he's still down-to-earth enough to stay connected to a higher power, and in our first "Most Dope" rough cut below, Mac turns to the big guy upstairs to ask for guidance in the studio.

In the clip, Mac rounds up his closest friends for a prayer circle to ask the Almighty One for good beats. "Please allow Clock to come up with something interesting," he begs. "Please allow him to go in there and really put his soul into the song." The boys then meditate with "Ohm" chants, cut short by Peanut's attempt at a Joel Osteen sermon. "We got the holy ghost! We got the holy ghost!" he yells after falling to the floor. Perhaps Peanut should pray for stronger calves...
