Kristin Cavallari poses on the red carpet of a QVC style event.
Kristin Cavallari created her Meanest Teen in California persona on "Laguna Beach," and perfected its twentysomething equivalent on "The Hills," but during her E! special this weekend, the blonde beauty tried to convince viewers that, these days, she's just a boring suburban mom. Cue the sound of bulls**t detectors blaring across America.
Despite her insistence that life is now drama-free, K-Cav revealed that she learned how to manipulate an audience from an early age -- a skill she used to land her spot on "Laguna Beach." She responded to a question on the series' casting questionnaire about who should be voted homecoming queen by saying, "I don't know and I don't care, as long as it's not Lauren Conrad." And with that, a
reality queen was born.
While TV roles kept her busy for the better part of a decade, Kristin's dating history kept us captivated, too, but she explained her relationship with "Hills" co-star Brody Jenner "wasn't that serious." However, right from the start, things just clicked with her current fiance, football star Jay Cutler, she said. "We knew right away that we loved each other," Kristin said. "It was completely different...It was almost like my other relationships were playing house."
As for her high-maintenance reputation, she says those days are behind her, which is where she wishes Jay would have been for the birth of their son, Camden. "He held my leg. He saw the whole thing."
While she'll probably never shed the feisty 'tude we knew and loved, one thing is for certain: Camden has changed her life for the better. "I had tears in my eyes," she said of seeing her son for the first time. "You can't believe that you've created this life together. It's such a miracle."
