Let's get something straight: Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer have nothing against a good ol' sausage fest. Their lack of male guests on "Nikki & Sara LIVE" has been purely unintentional, the co-hosts told audience members last night. And to remedy the situation, they announced that they'd invited "American Idol"-winner Phillip Phillips to stop by.
Luckily, the sensitive singer was not intimidated by the task of being the ladies' 'first,' and made sure not to turn the set topsy-turvy with any hint of hyper-masculinity. In fact, Phillip(s) made Sara cry with ruminations on the brevity of our existence. "It's kind of sad, in a way, how fast life goes by," he says in the interview below as the trio dissect his music video for new single "Gone, Gone, Gone." After the ladies collect themselves, they press the musician for info on why men don't travel to the bathroom in tandem. Phil's answer is simple: Men, unlike ladies, aren't fond of chat sessions with sh**ers as backdrop.
"Yeah, it's like 'The View' in there," Nikki admits of her lavatory gossip-sessions.
Finally, the gals quiz Phil on the special club to which he belongs: people with the same last name as their first name. He holds his own with Li Li and Chris Christie, but one clue throws him for a loop: "She's a werewolf from the hit film 'Howling 3: The Marsupials.'" Phil's stumped, and the ladies, naturally, are not impressed with his ignorance of all things Gerboa Gerboa. Better luck next time, pal!
Check out the video, and tune in to "Nikki & Sara LIVE" Tuesday nights at 11/10c!
