Mario Lopez on the set of "The Stream."
Now that Mario Lopez is more famous for his red carpet hosting gigs than playing A.C. Slater on "Saved By The Bell," we tend to forget that the dimpled charmer has some serious acting chops. But Mario will soon remind us he's still got what it takes to light up the silver screen when he stars in the new independent film, "The Stream."
Like his fellow Bayside bro, Screech, who recently helped out Hurricane Sandy victims, Mario's motives are purely selfless. "I did a film for a great cause to raise money & awareness for the Boys & Girls Club," he tweeted yesterday. Hot and a heart of gold? Courtney Mazza is one lucky lady.
In the trailer below, Mario is featured alongside kids from The Dreaming Tree Foundation in the coming of age comedy about an epic search for a Wiffle ball bat. As it turns out, the young, talented bunch not only star in the flick, but they also helped produce it. Impressive!
