'Saved By The Bell' Alum Screech Steps Up For Hurricane Sandy Relief

A not-so-scrawny Screech, 20 years later.

The "Saved By The Bell" cast has been back on our radar for the last few weeks (thank you, Mr. Belding, for causing quite a scene) and now Dustin Diamond, who played Screech, has something up his sleeve to cash in on all of the spin-off buzz. But don't fret, we swear it's not another sex tape! Screech's sleazy days are (hopefully) a thing of the past, and Bayside's former geek is turning his focus on a much more altruistic cause: Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Sports Fan Promotions is organizing a special meet-and-greet with Screech in New York, where much of the disastrous damage took place. If you're wondering why a sports company is sponsoring "The Big Event," it turns out long after Bayside closed its doors, Dustin dabbled in...pro wrestling?! Yup, it's hard to believe, but Screech took a page out of A.C. Slater's playbook and fought fierce competitors in the ring back in 2000. He'll be joined on March 2 by other WWE stars, who will be showing their softer side in honor of Sandy victims, as well.

Don't forget to watch Screech and the rest of the Bayside gang on reruns of "Saved By The Bell" on MTV2!
