Vinny Guadagnino Sets Up Charity For Staten Island's Sandy Victims [Video]

When Hurricane Sandy hit the Northeast, Vinny Guadagnino was doubly affected. Not only was Seaside Heights, home to "Jersey Shore," torn apart, but Staten Island, where he was born and raised, saw some of the worst damage in the tri-state area.

The newly announced host of "The Show with Vinny" is determined to put both of his homes back together again. Thursday, he and the rest of his castmates will attend a LIVE telethon at MTV's Times Square headquarters to raise money for Seaside Heights, and he's also been helping out on the front lines. Not to mention, Vinny's set up a charity for hurricane victims in Staten Island. "We want to help restore the shore, but, you know I also have an allegiance to Staten Island. It was really devastated," Vinny tells us in the video clip below.

We applaud Vinny's continued devotion to aiding those who lost everything. "We're trying to raise as much money as we can for both places...and I'm just trying to do my part," he says.
