Last week, we sneaked the entire first episode of MTV's newest game show, "Money From Strangers," and if you watched it, then you know that the host of the series, Jeff Dye, not only wants to reward courageous contestants with a stack of $50 bills, but the dude's also pretty damn clever. Anyone can craft a dare, but the stuff he cooks up on the fly (like tasking a girl to punt 10 bagels in front of people who already think she's a lunatic), takes some real ingenuity. Which comes as no surprise, as this isn't Dye's first foray into making people laugh hysterically.
Prior to generously handing out stacks of bills to folks willing to do whatever he and his comedic accomplices tell them, Dye was a finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." Soon after that gig, he nabbed his very own half-hour comedy special, entitled "Comedy Central Presents Jeff Dye," in which he wrote sketches that ripped on his parents for not understanding the interwebs or modern-day sports apparel. Yes, friends, his dad plays basketball in knee pads.
Check out a clip below of Dye cracking jokes about old people, and be sure to tune in for the premiere of "Money From Strangers" tonight at 10:30/9:30c.
