It goes without saying that when Daniel found out the fight following his being KO’d fell on the same day as the anniversary of his girlfriend’s death, the pressure he felt was boundless. Rather than let the stress of the day overtake him, he decided to channel his grief into something positive, and the “Caged” fighter made a conscious choice to let Miss Minden’s memory act as a motivator.
In this bonus scene from Episode 3, the golden boy makes a call to Will, the promoter of his fight, and requests that his match start with a moment of silence in Hannah’s honor. Daniel knows her family will be in the stands, and instead of just keeping his fingers crossed that anguish won’t rear its ugly head, he decides to face his demons head-on. Thankfully, Will has no problem accommodating Daniel’s request.
