Chelsea's Blog: 'I Used To Blame Every Problem On My Weight'

I had a major breakthrough at the retreat--a breakthrough that essentially propelled me to the next phase of my journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

I've lived in the shadow of my fears and insecurities for most of my life. I had internalized and suppressed my emotions, quickly blaming every problem on my weight. This method was less painful than admitting my real issues.

From the moment I met Angela, she challenged me to look beyond my weight and examine more of what was brewing deep within.

If there is one thing that I've learned over time, it's that everyone has a struggle. To overcome that struggle, you have to be honest with yourself. At first, I hated the idea of baring my soul, but the freedom I got from doing so was well worth it.

Every day I am striving to be a better person, but I will never forget the moment I found my voice and broke away from my self-doubts.

Spend life seeking new challenges and learning to embrace your flaws!
