'Beavis And Butt-Head' Give MTV A Dose Of Meta-Critique

We knew when "Beavis And Butt-Head" returned to MTV, the network's favorite stars ran the risk of getting some flak thrown their way. We're only two episodes into Season 9, but "16 and Pregnant," "Teen Mom," "True Life" and "Jersey Shore" have all taken heat, and we can't imagine the "Hills" mascara tears are too far behind.

The thing is, people seem to love the two nitwits saying terrible things about them (and viewers do, too)! Whether it's novelty, attention or flaw acknowledgment, those B&B have torn apart with their sharp tongues, such as Pauly D, can't get enough of being in the crosshairs. From admonishing unfit fathers, to pointing out Seaside Heights as the origin of herpes, the Highland High School students barely had time to mock the psychic from "True Life" who ate at a restaurant called Toots. And why should they leave well enough alone? If Katy Perry's rack's firework show isn't off-limits, then neither should be bizarre toga parties or completely embarrassing demonstrations of unrequited love.
