Seven strangers get cozy outside their new San Diego digs.
Whenever "Real World" producers return to a city where they've already filmed (Las Vegas, New York), you can count on naysayers to jump up on their soapboxes and preach that sequels usually suck. Personally, we loved the second installment of both Sin City and The Big Apple, so we have high hopes for San Diego 2.0 (premieres September 28th at 10/9c), especially since it's such a rad town.
Not sold? Well, here are four reasons (other than our argument above, which just so happened to include a SoCal-based colloquialism!) why this oceanside town is worthy of a repeat.
Mission Beach Babes
Nearly two miles long, Mission Beach attracts everyone you'd expect to see at a trendy Pacific Coast hotspot, from surfers to kayak-enthusiasts, and it's lined with notable watering holes. It's also a great place to rent jet skis and boats, which will make for lots of high-energy adventures.
You're never too old for this one-of-a-kind journey, which boasts an all-new impressive Shamu show! The cast can even dine next to the whale, if they're into that sort of thing.
Road Trips To TJ
Crossing the border to Tijuana is never a disappointment, especially if the seven strangers are craving margaritas, cheap pharmaceuticals or the picturesque beaches of Rosarito. Plus, it's less than 20 minutes south of San Diego, so they can make this a regular jaunt.
Everyone always talks about California's impeccable weather, but San Diego's near-perfect temperatures are in a league of their own. They have warm, dry summers and uneventful winters, which makes for lots of outdoor jacuzzi sessions (it's always about the 'cuzzi).
