Lauren Conrad To Teen Vogue: 'I'm Doing It All On My Own This Time'

Lauren Conrad is a proven ace at keeping her admirers constantly guessing, so it's no wonder she's divulging the details of her new reality TV show bit by bit, slowly yet purposefully--as if to leave us all craving just a couple more clues each time she goes on the record. Recently she told Us Weekly that her third stint on MTV will have a more "real" feel than "The Hills," and that she's not totally opposed to beau Kyle Howard making an appearance--and now she's spilling even more dirt to Teen Vogue about what to expect from the series, most notably in the opening scene, which will feature screaming fans gathered at last week's NYC book signing.

LC graces the cover of the mag's November issue (on newsstands Oct. 19) all dolled up in royal blue (maybe to represent the upcoming unveiling of her fashion line, Paper Crown?). The photo shoot was held on a set (of which Teen Vogue's website features fun behind-the-scenes pics and video), though many of the fame- and fashion-related interview questions were fittingly posed at Barney's--during a $2,000 shopping spree! (She did the damage in just one hour.)

Perhaps one of the juiciest nuggets in the story is Lauren's confession that she only keeps in touch with a total of two of her former "Hills" castmates. Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt, it's nice to hear that you're still in your old friend's corner!
