They may have been forced to grow up fast, and in the toughest of circumstances, but Maci, Amber, Farrah and Catelynn's sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. Their constantly evolving lives have inspired millions of "Teen Mom" viewers over the past two seasons--so much so that the girls have become permanent fixtures on the covers of national magazines.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, the four young mothers open up about how much they've grown since "16 and Pregnant," and where they hope to go next. Take a look at some of our favorite quotes from the article, and don't forget to tune in for the emotional season finale of "Teen Mom" next Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 10p.m.
"We've learned ways to talk to each other without being so mean. We're both very blunt, and before we didn't care if we made each other mad. Now, we bite our tongues and remember that we're going to be around each other, so it will be easier if we're nice."
--Maci, on the maturation of her relationship with Bentley's dad, Ryan.
"She talks a lot. She's very social and loves to be around other kids. Once, we went to the mall and a little kid who was going down the slide got scared. Leah was playing nearby and went over and patted him on the back and said, 'OK? OK?'"
--Amber, on Baby Leah's personality.
"I'm starting a great relationship with Derek's father, Jerry, and his wife, Debbie, who are positive grandparents and care a lot about Sophia and me."
--Farrah, on rebuilding her relationship with her baby's father's family.
"The other day she sent me a text saying, 'I just wanted to let you know that I love you and I'm thinking about you.'"
--Catelynn, on her mother's efforts to connect.
