'Jersey Shore' Cast Takes Time Out From Partying To Spread Messages Of Hope

You know them mainly for their undiscerning hookups, clumsy daytime drinking and in-house brawls, but a few of the "Jersey Shore" cast members have taken a break from their daily GTL&P (for Party) routine to represent good causes. In addition to JWOWW just being named ambassador for the 1 in 9 breast cancer coalition in Long Island (via Daily Mail), she and best friend Snooki took to Your.MTV.com today to spread the message that love is louder than hate. Housemate Vinny also posted a video in a support of MTV's Love Is Louder campaign, saying that he knows "how it feels to be bullied and disrespected."

The Love Is Louder campaign was started last week in response to recent teen suicides linked to anti-gay bullying--specifically the death of Rutgers student Tyler Clementi. Co-creator and "Prom Night" star Brittany Snow told MTV News last week, "I was bullied in middle school and high school, and went through my fair share of hard times thereafter. Also, one of my really good friends committed suicide when I was in high school. I understand and get when kids and teenagers feel like they're alone and it's not going to get better."

We're proud of JWOWW, Snooki and Vinny for speaking out, and you can too! Join the discussion by uploading your own videos to Your.MTV.com and by using the Twitter hashtag #loveislouder.
