Sure, yesterday was a momentous occasion for our country. But did you know it was also a momentous day for Sean "Diddy" Combs? Yep, November 4th, 2008 will go down in the history books as the day our country elected Barack Obama to serve as its 44th president, but it's also the 39th anniversary of Diddy's birth. And while, ordinarily, Diddy would never tolerate any bitchassedness or let anyone steal his thunder (See: The Dismantling Of Danity Kane), it seems he's willing to let this one slide -- provided we give him complete and total credit for Obama's victory.
"I felt like my vote was the vote that put him into office," said the always-modest Bad Boy exec. "It was down to one vote and that was going to be my vote. And that may not be true, but that's how much power it felt like I had."
Hey, this kinda reminds us of Paris Hilton taking most of the credit for the (supposedly) record-high voter turnout! Except in Diddy's case, we're pretty sure he's dead serious. Which is why we're wishing him a belated happy birthday -- and thanking him for all his hard work on the campaign trail.
Congratulations -- Diddy. Barack couldn't have done it without you.
