We'll admit it -- we sat through the first two episodes of the new 90210 and those are three grueling hours of our lives we'll never get back. But amidst all the excitement (OMG, Nat's still a waiter! Kelly's mom's still a drunk! The dad's unrealistically hot!) we couldn't help but marvel at the chutzpah of inserting a risque (but somehow snoozy) fellatio scene five minutes into the series premiere.
More shocking still? The subsequent revelation that the role of Provocative Teenage Girl In Car very nearly went to a certain Making the The Band-er.
"I was up to play a part in [the 90210 spinoff] but I ended up doing Broadway," Aubrey O'Day told reporters at OK! magazine. "I can’t remember her name, but I can tell you what the script was that I read. It was the girl who was giving head to the boy in the car..."
(Ah, "the girl who was giving head to the boy in the car." If that doesn't have future Emmy written all over it, we don't know what does!)
Anyhow, kudos to you, Aubrey, for passing on that role in favor of Hairspray. Only the next time someone offers you the chance to play an anonymous underage person committing a dirty sex act? You might try and come up with a better reason for turning it down than a "scheduling conflict."
