How These People Made Money By Calling In Sick To Work

We can't come in today — we're busy watching 'Broke A$$ Game Show.'

The American workforce just achieved a historical first: A bunch of people called in sick to their jobs, gave absurd excuses, and ending up making money.

We know you want to find out how they could have pulled this off, so here's how it went down: On tonight's episode of "Broke A$$ Game Show," hosts David Magidoff and Derek Gaines pulled a few morning commuters off the urban streets and presented them with a proposition they called "Sick Excuse."

"What if I told you if you go a little late to work today, or maybe not at all, I'll give you a hundred bucks," David offered to a skeptical pedestrian. Derek further clarified the rules, adding: "But we're gonna give you excuses. So if you can read off these excuses, we'll give you a hundred dollars."

Sounds like a no-brainer so, before long, the prospective hooky-players pulled out their phones and dialed their employers. The excuses ran from "I got a bug last night, actually... I found him on the sidewalk" to "I hate the copy machine. It literally copies everything I do" -- and their bosses responses were priceless.
