New York, New York -- On the night before Halloween, hundreds of excited teens gathered at the Javits Center in Manhattan to meet their favorite YouTube and Vine personalities at the first-ever Stream Con, which celebrates digital content from across the internet. MTV News caught up with Hannah Hart, perhaps best known for her "My Drunk Kitchen" web series, at the start of the three-day ? Halloweekend ? convention. She has over 2 million subscribers on her main channel (#casual).
Hart and fellow social media superstars Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart KILLED IT at Stream Con. Grace and Mamrie opened the weekend with a badass comedy show complete with giraffe costumes because, duh, Halloween. Meanwhile, Hannah and Grace also surprised fans by airing the first two episodes of their upcoming superhero action comedy, "Electra Woman & Dyna Girl." (Hannah was way into wearing a cape in true "Dyna Girl" spirit.)
And that's just the beginning of the trio's impressive accomplishments. Last week, they announced biiig news -- a new movie! "Dirty Thirty," coming in 2016, will be their second film after 2013's "Camp Takota."
"Dirty Thirty" is about a birthday party gone very, very wrong. Coincidentally, the Monday following Stream Con (Nov. 2) is also Hannah's birthday. So, MTV News asked her about all things party-related. ????
MTV News: What's the best way to crash a stranger's party?
Hannah Hart: Oh, wow. I think the best way to crash a stranger's party would be to arrive as the pizza person, buy pizza, buy some sort of pizza shirt, walk in like you're delivering the pizza, put it down and proceed to party while eating the pizza.
MTV: YAS! What do you do when you're at a party and don't really know anyone there?
Hart: Personally, I like to hang out in the kitchen. That's my safe space in a party environment. I feel like it's a little quieter so you can actually have conversations with people, and anybody else who's also in the kitchen is probably someone I can have a decent conversation with.
MTV: What's the No. 1 thing a good party host should do?
Hart: Have a contingency plan for if the party is going awry. I'm just going to put it like that. (laughs)
MTV: Who do you think are the worst types of people at parties?
Hart: Somebody who didn't want to be there and didn't want to go out but forced themselves to rally. It's like, dude, just go home and chillax and enjoy your night, you know? Don't force yourself to go party if you're not in the mood.
MTV: With "Dirty Thirty," 30 is a milestone number just like 21. What's your advice for mistakes to avoid on a 21st birthday?
Hart: Feeling like you have to get alcohol poisoning. Don't do it! I would say surround yourself with people that you know will take care of you. It's not so much a mistake advice -- it's just advice advice.
MTV: And since Thanksgiving is coming up, what are your survival tips for Thanksgiving parties?
Hart: Eat! I'm excited about Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday. It's the feast of a thousand senses, so just eat, eat, eat, eat. That's my advice.
Then Hart gave us some ~fun facts~ about her life.
The last thing I ate was... a grilled cheese sandwich. No lie. I also had tomato soup with it and also I put guacamole on it. It was delicious. (laughs)
The last movie I watched was... I'm watching this documentary series on Netflix called "Human Planet," which talks about all the different types of people that live on the Earth and different environments.
The last book I read was... Actually, I'm currently reading Tyler Oakley's book, "Binge," and it's so good! I'm halfway through, and I'm so proud of him. Tyler's a good friend ... and I know how much of himself he put into this book and how much time he carved out to really sit and write it.
The song I can't get out of my head right now is... "Hotline Bling" right now. I mean, I really can't, especially with those old man dance moves. Drake looks like his knees are aching. (laughs)
I can't leave my house without... [Besides my phone and keys], the one thing I can't leave my house without is a smile. A cheery disposition, a positive, optimistic outlook -- yeah, that sounds good. Though I leave my house without it all the time. (laughs)
My guilty pleasure is... the aforementioned grilled cheese sandwich. There's nothing in it that's good for you, but it's really good for your soul.
Pizza or tacos? Tacos
Ice cream or cake? Ice cream
Summer or winter? Winter!
Candy corn -- yes or no? No, absolutely not. Burn it in a fire. ?
