Sarah Paulson is definitely one of the OG "American Horror Story" cast members, being with the show since "Murder House." We've seen her as Billie Dean Howard, Lana "Lana Banana" Winters, Cordelia Foxx, Bette and Dot Tattler, and now as Hypodermic Sally on "Hotel."
During these iconic seasons, we've witnessed her conducting seances, dancing to a killer rendition of "The Name Game," rising to the Supreme, having awkward sex with Neil Patrick Harris, and being tossed out a window, thus becoming a ghost.
Although Paulson's characters aren't really villains on the show, they do possess some serious "bad girl" qualities — which is why we love them. Because seriously, who wants to be an angel all the time?
Below, why Paulson is our favorite "AHS" bad girl:
She does NOT beat around the bush...
To be fair, her mother Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange) was an A #1 Witch (pun unintended). Honestly, it's a shock Cordelia didn't snap and just off her own mother on the first episode of "Coven."
...and isn't afraid to be "unladylike."
You did this to yourself, Dr. Oliver Thredson (Zachary Quinto). You did this to yourself.
She's a junkie, but also poetic.
FYI, drugs are definitely not cool, but since Hypodermic Sally is already dead, what's the actual harm?
She gets actual joy from terrorizing children.
And has no qualms about flirting with a married man.
She perfected the "Bitch, I'm fabulous" walk.
She stabbed her mother and then stabbed her sister, because family is complicated, OK?
Sheesh. I mean, she did feel guilty about the whole "killing her mother" business. That's something, right?
Oh, and she also killed her own child, but there were mitigating circumstances, so it's totes cool.
Bloody Face, Jr. (Dylan McDermott) was going to kill her first, so "all's fair in love and war" and all that jazz.
Annnnd, she gleefully watched a dude drown in a Houdini water tank.
Again, mitigating circumstances. Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock) killed all her friends and was a sh-tty boyfriend.
Oh yeah, and she burned a fellow witch to death.
To be fair, Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy) asked Cordelia to kill her on the finale of "Coven", but still. Cordelia actually did it.
She does whatever the hell she wants, whenever the hell she wants — and no one can stop her.
Crashing parties? Invading people's privacy? Holding (Swedish?) girls captive? She'll do it all. And honestly, who's gonna stand in her way? NO ONE.
Keep killin' it, Sarah! (Pun intended that time.)
