Zendaya Calls Out A Magazine For Severely Photoshopping Her Body

The queen has spoken, and she's not pleased.

If there's one thing most of us know by now, it's that Zendaya loves to encourage all of us to celebrate our own beauty—and she sets a good example doing it herself. She's fought against people who shamed her hair and taken fashion risks without a second thought. So when Zendaya was recently heavily photoshopped for a magazine, she called it out on Instagram.

During a photo shoot for Modeliste Magazine, Zendaya wore a cinched leather jacket over a black leotard. After some serious (and unnecessary) photoshopping and editing, Zendaya's hips and waist were slimmed down significantly on her already slim figure. She posted both the retouched and un-retouched photos to Instagram and said:

Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated. These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it?? Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.

Fortunately, the problem was resolved thanks to Zendaya calling it out. Leave it to our girl to stick up for her body and tell the rest of the word that it's ok to do the same. ❤️❤️❤️
