Jennifer Lawrence Brings The Badass In New 'Joy' Trailer

"I pick up the gun."

We're going to have to come up with a few new words for "badass," or else the way we talk about Jennifer Lawrence in David O. Russell's latest movie, "Joy," is going to get old fast.

The latest trailer for the movie dropped today, as did the metaphorical mic Lawrence's character appears to be holding. As started-from-the-bottom-now-she's-here businesswoman Joy, we get to see Lawrence grow from high school valedictorian who stalled her dreams to support her family, to an inventor and business owner who is taking no nonsense from no one. (Not even Bradley Cooper. No nonsense from Bradley Cooper either.)

Need proof? Consider the acid delivery of Lawrence's final line in the trailer.

"Listen to me," she says. "Never speak on my behalf about my business again."

What's that feeling? Oh, it's chills. That's right.

"Joy" hits theaters December 25.
