Long before we started shipping Delena, Destiel, WestAllen and the like -- heck, long before there even was such a thing as ship names -- we had Josh and Mindy from Nickelodeon's "Drake And Josh."
Josh Nichols and Mindy Crenshaw were our everything. What made this "Drake And Josh" OTP work was their insane chemistry. Even when they were at each other's throats, you knew they really cared about one another. Their on again, off again relationship became official (again) in the 2008 series finale of "Drake And Josh," when Mindy and Josh rekindled their romance. So, where is our favorite couple now? And more importantly, are they even together?!
MTV News caught up with Allison Scagliotti, who played Josh's intelligent nemesis-turned-girlfriend on the Nick series, at New York Comic Con, and while she had no idea if Josh and Mindy were still together (that's a question for creator Dan Schneider, she said), she does think Mindy is a total #GirlBoss these days.
"One hundred percent, Mindy went to law school, graduated top of her class and became a gnarly prosecuting attorney," she said while promoting her ABC Family series "Stitchers." "But at the same time, I think she loosened up, and I think she's a mean partier. I think Mindy can hang. She'll do it in a couture suit, but she will buy the bar because she's such a successful attorney."
"I do think she's never gotten over Josh," she added. "She's still madly in love with him wherever he is."
Speaking of Mr. Nichols, Josh Peck told MTV News that there's "no way" Josh and Mindy are still together. (Way to break our hearts, brother!)
"I think Mindy probably broke Josh's heart two years into their relationship," he said, ruining our lives. "She became a really high-profile lawyer and started dating a professional athlete, and now Josh Nichols is on the prowl."
On the prowl, huh? It sounds like Josh has learned a few things from his stepbrother Drake over the years, and we're not mad about it. Except, you know, when it means Josh and Mindy can't be together forever.
For Scagliotti, "Drake and Josh" will always hold a special place in her heart. When she joined the cast at 13, she was four years younger than Peck, something that could have been awkward.
"I have nothing but the best memories from that set," she said. "There was a four-year age difference between me and the guys, which is nothing when you're an adult, but when you're 14 and your first kiss is with an 18 year old, it can be uncomfortable."
"Those guys treated me like a queen," she added. "I never felt unwelcome or like a little kid who was in the way. They made me feel like I was part of a team. It was such a special thing to be part of."
Oh, and just in case you're wondering, she's totally down for a "D&J" reunion, too. "To Dan [Schneider], we've seen a 'Kenan & Kel' reunion, we've seen a 'Zoey 101' follow-up. Where is our 'Drake And Josh: Where Are They Now?' Where is it? I'm in favor of it, and I think the rest of us are too, so I don't know what the hold up-is."
