This Single Dad Taught Himself To Style His Daughter's Hair, And Now He's Teaching Other Fathers

And they are IMPRESSIVE.

Here's a story that'll put a big, goofy grin on your face. When Philippe Morgese's daughter Emma was just one, he became a single dad – and, as her hair grew, he found himself faced with the need to style it. He quickly graduated from sweeping his little one's locks back with barrettes to pulling it into pigtails to creating some seriously legit braids.

As his mad skills improved, he realized his knowledge could fill a big void – so he reserved a space at local beauty school International Academy, and spread the word. Not only did the school donate the room free of charge, but Morgese also opened the doors to anyone, at no cost. "I didn’t want to stop anyone from learning,” he told BuzzFeed.

Seven dads arrived, with their daughters in tow, and they mastered basics like ponytails, buns and three-strand braids.

Since the initial class, Morgese has been inundated with goodwill and requests from fellow fathers. He created Daddy Daughter Hair Factory in response, and shared some great news via Reddit: he'll now hold monthly classes at the Academy.

We love everything about this – what an empowering, devoted daddy you are, Philippe! Oh, and we have a request: a Katniss braid would look divine on sweet Emma.

UPDATE! Wouldn't you know it – Philippe taught himself how to french braid just to fulfill our request! Check out these AHHHHDORABLE pics of Emma doing her best Katniss impression (bow and arrow included, obvs).

Incredible work, Philippe! The odds are clearly ever in your favor.
