Rest easy, Yeezy -- POTUS has your back.
On Saturday (Oct. 10), President Obama spoke at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser where Kanye West was slated to perform at later. Given Yeezy's announcement at this year's VMAs about his plan to seek the nation's highest office in 2020, The Prez took the opportunity to pass along some advice to Mr. West -- something alleged "supporters" Donald Trump and Ben Carson haven't done at all, just FYI.
"You may have heard about this: Kanye is thinking about running," Obama says in a video clip taken during the event. "...for Speaker of the House. But in case Kanye's serious about this whole POTUS thing -- as as he calls is, 'Peezy' -- I do have advice for him," Obama said.
And boy, what advice he gave!
It's a lot like a reality TV show.
"First of all, you gotta spend some time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they're on a reality TV show. So you've gotta be cool with that."
You have to be "on message."
"Second, this is the second important tip: Saying that you have a 'beautiful dark twisted fantasy' -- that's what's known as 'off message' in politics. You can't say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying things like that. You don't do that."
Be mindful of your chances.
"Do you really think that this country's gonna elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be President of the United States? That is crazy. That's cray!"
It really can't be denied: KimYe is one presidential-looking couple.
