"First, we got to create the ~mood~," Sebastian the lobster explains at beginning of "The Little Mermaid"'s romantic rowboat scene. Y'know, the one where Ariel and Prince Eric almost kiss but are rudely interrupted by gravity when the boat capsizes.

The Little Mermen, a Disney cover band, decided to create the same under-the-sea mood in New York City's Washington Square Park. The group, donning a red Ariel-inspired wig and lobster hat, serenaded couples, friends and family by singing "Kiss the Girl." The goal was -- duh! -- to get them to smooch.
