Becky G Got Up In Cookie’s Face During ‘Empire’ Filming And It Was The Wrong Move

'If you're going to step in the lioness' face, you're going to get bit,' Becky told us.

I think we can all agree that things are getting pretty crazy over at "Empire."

Lucious Lyon is out of jail, Cookie is starting her own Dynasty and there's a new feisty diva in town, Valentina.

Becky G made her acting debut during last week's episode as the fiery Latina who would stop at nothing to be a part of Hakeem's girl group.

"It was incredible. It was also intimidating, I'm not going to lie -- it's a huge show, so accomplished and groundbreaking," Becky G told us. "It's my first acting debut, so to have to walk onto the set and be just as feisty as Cookie was like, 'Hold up, I really have to do my research.' I got to know my character -- I was literally breathing, sleeping and living my lines just to make sure that I wasn't wasting anyone's time. I wanted to show them I was serious and I could do it."

And that hard work paid off, since Becky -- who had to audition to get the part -- was so happy with her performance that she "cried" when she watched in on TV. Meanwhile, her family and some of her fans were a little surprised over that whole sexy, seductive bubble bath scene.

"They are like, 'Oooh girl, what are you doing? What is happening?' My parents were really supportive, but I don't think my grandparents know what's up, which I'm glad they don't," she said. "I think its because it's the total opposite of me. I'm just little Becks... and to jump into that bad girl role, where literally my entire life I've been a good girl, it was weird."

Becky is back for more on tonight's episode of the hit Fox series, where she finds herself going head to head with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). And Becky tells us she may have gotten a little too in character while filming that scene.

"Me and Taraji have this moment where we kind of get into it, and the director was surprised -- and Taraji was surprised -- because my instinct was to get in her face," she said. "And he's like, 'Woah woah woah,' and then he's like, 'If you're going to step in the lioness' face, you're going to get bit, girl.' He was like, 'Don't do that,' and I'm like, 'I'm sorry.' There's lots of tension between a lot of the people in the room, and that comes into the next scenes."

Becky said Valentina's storyline is left open since she's busy working on her debut album, but "maybe" we'll see her again after tonight's episode.
