Plz plz plz say the Hilary x Lorde singularity is upon us...
Thank God our fashion-guru sistahz over at MTV Style really paid attention to Lorde's Teen Vogue cover and interview, because we were basically rendered UNABLE TO EVEN after reading the first sentence.
"Hilary Duff?" exclaims the 16-year-old Kiwi artist upon learning that the "Reach Out" seductress was at one of her Grammys weekend shows back in January. "Are you freaking serious? Hilary Duff was there last night? This is what dreams are made of!"
TMI, but our eyes may or may not have spun uncontrollably in opposite directions before projectile-launching themselves out of their sockets -- NAGL. That's why it's always a good idea to read anything remotely related to Lorde and/or Hilary Duff with your hands in the ready-to-shield position. DON'T BECOME A STATISTIC.
Anyway, back to the "Team" singer's all-out fangirling. First of all, Lorde, you forgot to begin that (unintentional?) "Lizzie McGuire Movie" reference with "Hey, now! Hey, now!"
And second of all, you're wrong, Lorde! Hilary Duff secretly attending your concert isn't what dreams are made of. You having a total Stan-ic attack over Hilary Duff secret attending your concert is what dreams are made of. No, seriously! Make like that Madonna interviewer who didn't know what "reductive" means, and look it up.
No? That's not how Wiktionary defined the word "dream"? Our
boldface lies very legitimate edits to that page must not have stuck. Oh well, at least we now have the thought that maybe, just maybe, Lorde might be collaborating on Hilary's forthcoming new album, and that's definitely enough to cheer us up in this cold, newly eyeball-less life.
+ Watch the eternally iconic "What Dreams Are Made Of" scene from "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," and just pretend that Isabella is played by Lorde.
