Ellie Goulding & Zedd’s MTV Movie Awards Performance Gave Us So Much Life

Ellie and Zedd’s Movie Awards performance gives us TONS of feels.

They say that “Anything Can Happen” at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, and tonight they were right. (“They” being us, BTW, because we are always right.) Zedd and Ellie Goulding’s dual performance of their “Divergent” soundtrack additions basically gave us all the life ever, and no we are not exaggerating HOW DARE YOU.

Ellie completely and unequivocally NAILED “Beating Heart” onstage. Like, she gave us chills, and then our chills wept over the beauty that was Ellie’s voice floating flawlessly above Zedd’s piano backing. What? Chills can do that.

Also, we’re pretty sure the fire tower that burned on stage was there to serve as a metaphor that Ellie, who was literally the Goddess of Hotness personified. That’s a Greco-Roman deity, right? BRB, checking Wikipedia…

The transition to Zedd’s “Find You” was seamless, with the DJ whipping out a slow-dance rendition of his “Divergent” track as Matthew Koma accompanied him with some guitar-assisted vocals. Wanna know what our feels were like? They were all, “TOO MUCH!” True story.

Once the song’s original dance beat and featured vocalist¬†Miriam Bryant came in, our feels gave us their two-week notice, citing “an inability TO EVEN right now.” The whole place turned into a full-on dance party. Don’t act like this wasn’t you.

Now, excuse us as we go huddle in a corner to recuperate our feels, not to mention clean up all the confetti we threw during Ellie and Zedd’s Movie Awards set. Where did that even come from? Probs best not to know.
